Nick nacks at mum and dads

Last weekend we stayed at mum and dad’s place down near Hastings. Looking around “my” (AKA the spare) room I noticed a few nick nacks that had been decorating my parents’ home for decades and decided to take a few photos of my favourite things. Every item seems to have a story or hold a memory.
The wire and glass flowers in a frame were made by prisoners of war; the old-skool telephone was at one time during my childhood in working order; the blue and gold tea set (marked “Foreign” on the base) belonged to my father’s parents; the pack of Park Drive cigarettes they found in the chimney of their current house when they moved in.
